…I could change careers. What would I be? What would I do? Although to be honest, I really enjoy being a copywriter! I like writing blogs too and, well, just enjoy writing. Full stop.

For instance, my latest job was working on transcribing some interview notes provided to me by a performance artist for her up and coming event (more on that when I have more information). She had interviewed six people asking a simple question about wealth. The responses were very different! My brief was to work from her notes that had spelling and grammatical mistakes as well as lots of gaps, or just two or three words, and transform them into readable, flowing text. If they can’t be bothered, then neither can I

To the householder… We’ve all had that kind of correspondence popping through the letterbox. Ping! Into the recycling it goes because, frankly, I can’t be bothered to open and read a communication where the sender simply can’t be bothered to go to the trouble of finding out the name of ‘the householder’ at my address.

Those darn Google zoo animals!

Around a year ago, the latest Google changes – Penguin and Panda – catapulted my website CreativeCopy.co.uk from its long-standing cosy position on page #1 of Google for the term copywriter to somewhere around page #20. And so began months of messing around with my website html and its links / social media, etc in an  attempt to outwit those darn Google zoo animals and get myself back onto page #1 for the term copywriter.
